What is URIX?
URIX aims to have wider hardware compatability and offer the stability of openSuSe. All software products are carefully picked so that they don't waste your resources or take hardisk space. URIX is a Linux on chip, meaning that it runs from USB without the need of any installation. It is also the sucessor of NetSecL OS also know as ISlack. The distribution has several sub projects:

URIX VM - Virtualization
How to use URIX?
It easy, burn it on a usb drive with Win32DISKImager or dd under Linux. Boot. Use linux as password for root and tux user.
Our Solution
We aim to include all firmware availible and offer a generic support for all availible Intel/AMD 64 bit hardware, WiFi (Realtek/Intel/Broadcom)
We have tested our product on Lenovo T410, Lenovo Flex 2, Dell Latitude-e6320 and it works perfectly well. Please share your experience on your hardware.
We aim to support the distribution and would like to hear your opinion and make the distribution even better.
The distribution fits on USB and can be runned live from it and you can save all the HDD space on the rest of the partitions.
The current version is based on openSUSE Leap that uses source from SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLE) providing a high level of stability.
You can customize the OS as you wish since it is publicly availible on SuSe Studio.
